Dance Artist Collaboration with UCC Creative

In the winter of 2023 students from the Theatre in Performative Practices Masters degree at UCC carried out some of their research practice in the Glen River Park. This work led to some beautiful performances on site on 21 and 23 November.

Following this profoundly enriching experience Professor Jools Gilson proposed to create further engagment with the park in collaboration with Gleann a’Phúca

We are delighted to announce that the recipient of this award, Helga Deasy, has been developing a new dance performance in the Glen with fellow dance artist, Sara Hernandez, and musician, Susan McManamon.

We are excited to see what will emerge from this collaboration 🙂 The trio will share a performance in the park alongside other outcomes from a year of creative engagment in the Glen as part of our grand Gleann a’ Phúca Finale Event on Saturday 28th September – all welcome
