Our Outreach programme invites young people to participate, offering engagement with artists to explore connections with place, both personal and shared
Julie Forrester has begun work with the girls from the Mayfield Youth Cafe and their helpers Rachel Coffey and Brenda Stillwell. We have been talking about what we would like to do to celebrate our neighburhood. Imagining the Glen. Some of the girls haven’t been there yet and so we talked about what might be there and we looked at the Glen River booklet. We made a sculpture of the park coming out of the booklet and drew splishy splashy pictures of words, using inks made from Glen berries and oak galls, for things we might do to explore our connection with nature, the river and the Glen.

Tom Doig, Annie Mar, and Brian Leach set up their stalls to introduce their projects fore Gleann a Phúca and share with the young people some of the creative skills and ideas behind their proposals.
