Thursday 26 September

The Glen Resource Centre Awnings and Wellbeing Centre

Building Rain Gardens In collaboration with the Glen Community Garden.  There is capacity to build 8 rain garden planters on site at the Glen Community Garden. This practical workshop is opne to Schools and community groups who will create theri own Rain Garden Planter to bring back to their communities along with the knowledge to create more.

Please get in touch if you are a community leader who would like to build a garden for you group

 

AUGUST 2024

17th – 24th AUGUST HERITAGE WEEK

Spoon & Bloom invite you to Step into the Past  with historian and Glen native, Gerard O’Brien, who will share stories about his boyhood in the Glen Park. The master story teller, historian and author will  elaborate on his encounters with biodiversity then and now and contextualise this deeply subjective narrative with references from his research about the history of the park.

The walk and talk will be followed by a workshop with Spoon and Bloom, sharing stories and impressions of the park, Memory and Bio-diversity mapping. This will be their last workshop before they go into the production of their Gleann a Phúca commissioned animation about the Glen River Park.
